We Won $50,000!!!

We are happy to announce that we won the ether.camp hackathon with a grand prize of $50,000! We want to dedicate this newsletter to share with you some insights about the hackathon and how we see the future.

Some stats

Votes - Our strategy from the start was to have as much votes as we can the last day of the hackathon so our competitors will have a hard time countering that. We worked for weeks on registering as much friends and family as we could, it took hundreds of phone calls and messages to get almost 200 voters in total. We managed to optimize the voting process extremely well so at the end we could on-board new voters really fast, that is what got us the win. Many others voted for us as well and at the end we managed to get 26,438 votes in total, more than 8,000 more than second place.

Judges - Regular users had, at most, 210 votes but most of them got only 110 (10 for registering and 100 for facebook/ twitter connection). Judges on the other hand had each a 1000 with which they can vote freely. CoinDash got more than 3000 judge votes, almost 20% of the total judge votes. There were about 70 projects competing. For us its an amazing validation for what we do, getting lots of votes from industry leaders is pretty awesome :)

New Partnership - The last few days of the competition we announced a partnership with Smith + Crown, a leading crypto trading content creators and developers. This partnership marks the beginning of CoinDash’s commitment to making the crypto trading space more sophisticated and much more inviting for non crypto users. In January we will participate in the blockchain week conference in London where we’ll unveil a POC integration with Smith + Crown, it will be really awesome! Summary

For us it was an amazing event, we meet a ton of new contacts and made a bigger audience. We would like to thank Roman and the ether.camp team for an amazing event. We strongly believe that it's an amazing platform and kickstart for blockchain projects looking to make their first move in the space. Make a name for themselves.
